Official says Russians buy 150 mln rbl of state-supported tours

MOSCOW, Aug 21 (PRIME) -- Russians bought 150 million rubles of tours under a state tourism support program with a cashback, head of the Federal Tourism Agency Zarina Doguzova said on Friday.

"We saw demand from the first second of the program. The first purchase was made on the third minute after the start and more than 150 million rubles of tours were acquired within several hours. The dynamics of visits of our website is rising from hour to hour," Doguzova said.

Doguzova said in July that the tourists will be able to receive cashback for travelling to all Russian regions in 2020 starting from August. She said that the amount will depend on the cost of a tour -- starting from 5,000 rubles for the tours amounting to 25,000–50,000 rubles, to 15,000 rubles for the tours costing from 75,000 rubles. Travelling duration must be over four days.

The government allocated 15 billion rubles to the development of the tourism industry at the end of July.
